Friends

  • Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up

Hey sorry i have not made a post in a while! Any way............ moving on

so this verse made me think about how when i fall i have friends and family to pick me up! But it is sad to think about the people who dont have friends are family to pick them up. I mean think about it what if some thing really bad happened and you had no one to help u with your problem? how would u feel? i know i would feel horible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I in-courage u to help some one when they truly need it. <3 I love you all !

The Beatitudes

20 Then He lifted up His eyes
toward His disciples, and said:
"Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.

21 Blessed are you who hunger
now,
For you shall be filled.
Blessed are you who weep now,
For you shall laugh.

22 Blessed are you when men hate
you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your
name as evil,
For the Son of Man's sake.

23 Rejoice in that day and leap for
joy!
For indeed your reward is great in
heaven,
For in like manner their fathers
did to the prophets.

24 "But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.

25 Woe to you who are full,
For you shall hunger.
Woe to you who laugh now,
For you shall mourn and weep.

26 Woe to you when all men speak
well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false
prophets.

~ Luke 6 : 20-26

In tonight's study with my family, we read Luke 6, and we read the Beatitudes. Which are scripture that have always stood out for me. I think mostly because, in the Beatitudes, Jesus talks of times when we shall be blessed for the things we do, and time when we will be cursed for things we do, and things that will happen if we stand up against the world for His names' sake, and how obviously things won't be easy...but in the end if we do well in the sight of God, and if we're obedient to His word, we will be rewarded in Heaven, and have spoken to us the heart warming words we've so longed to hear...

"...Well done, My good and faithful servant..."
~Matthew 25 : 23

Anxiousness...

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

I was talking with my sister-in-law today. We were discussing about her job interview, and she said that she wouldn't know for sure whether or not she got the job until Thursday. She then said that she was anxious about the wait, and couldn't stop thinking about it all.
When she said anxious, immediately this scripture popped into my head. And I txted it to her...she said that it was what she needed at that moment. And that it was an encouragement that she needed to hear.
But as I'm looking back at the conversation, I started to think more in depth of what the verse means. So I looked up the definition for the word Anxious.
Anxious: experiencing worry, unease, or nervousness...
Then I placed each of the word from the definition in place of the word anxious in the scripture...
Worry for nothing...
Be uneased by nothing...
Be nervous for nothing...
but in prayer, tell God how thankful you are, and let your heart be open to Him
for in doing these things God's peace will abound in you..and it will be greater than all of man's understanding.
And it will guard your Hearts, and your Minds through and forever in Christ Jesus.
Amen

PSALMS 26:1 -3
vindicate me, O Lord,
for i have walked in my integrity.
i have also trusted in the Lord;
i shall not slip.Examine me, O Lord,
and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.
For you lovingkindness is before my eyes,
and i have walked in Your truth.

Hey so one night before I went to bead I was reading my Bible and I found this verse and so when I turned off the light and was thinking about that verse and well it made me think WE GODS PEOPLE! sin a lot and for David the guy who rote this verse is asking for God to test him and he wants the challenge of seeing if he can push away the temptations. For some one to be able to do that is Crazy! in a good way. but he is true to are King. so if your ever being tryed in your life think that God is there and if you fallow Him every thing will work out to what he has pland!

The Color Purple...

And they clothed Him with purple;
and they twisted a crown of
thorns, put it on His head,
and began to salute Him, "Hail,
King of the Jews!"

~Mark 15: 17-18 (NKJV)

I was doing bible study again with the fam. and this scripture caught my eye because of the word purple, seeing that my favorite color is purple! I guess it made me realize how, they beat, bruised, and scarred Jesus. Afterwards placing upon Him a purple robe. It made me then think more of the color purple and what it represents. ROYALTY...and how they could have clothed Him with any other color clothing, but they chose purple.
Before God showed me this, when people would ask me why I like the color purple so much, I would say, "Because it's pretty." But now I will say, "Because it reminds me of my Savior and what He did for me. And it shows me that with me being God's child, I will one day abide in His ROYAL Heavenly Kingdom!"
