Hey Everyone.
I decided to post one of my favorite scriptures and talk about it a little, just cuz i haven't posted something on here in a while, and cuz i wanted to! :)
so here it is....
Psalm 118:8 ~ "It is better to put trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."
ok...so, this verse is one of my favorites because it reminds me of how we should look to God for what we need, and trust in Him to provide us with what we need...instead of looking to man for what we need and trusting in man to give us those things! and at one point that was a struggle that i had in my life, and i would look to man for things that i longed for in life and things that i needed....and of course i never found what i was looking for because no one except God had what i was looking for...and so i would get discouraged a lot. But then my relationship with God strengthened as i grew older...and now, even tho i have my moments of going to back to that place of looking to man for things...i have learned and now i chose to look to God for what i need, and i allow Him to be my provision in life. My trust is in the Lord! :D

One of My Favorite Scriptures!

Anxiousness...
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
I was talking with my sister-in-law today. We were discussing about her job interview, and she said that she wouldn't know for sure whether or not she got the job until Thursday. She then said that she was anxious about the wait, and couldn't stop thinking about it all.
When she said anxious, immediately this scripture popped into my head. And I txted it to her...she said that it was what she needed at that moment. And that it was an encouragement that she needed to hear.
But as I'm looking back at the conversation, I started to think more in depth of what the verse means. So I looked up the definition for the word Anxious.
Anxious: experiencing worry, unease, or nervousness...
Then I placed each of the word from the definition in place of the word anxious in the scripture...
Worry for nothing...
Be uneased by nothing...
Be nervous for nothing...
but in prayer, tell God how thankful you are, and let your heart be open to Him
for in doing these things God's peace will abound in you..and it will be greater than all of man's understanding.
And it will guard your Hearts, and your Minds through and forever in Christ Jesus.
Amen

The Color Purple...
And they clothed Him with purple;
and they twisted a crown of
thorns, put it on His head,
and began to salute Him, "Hail,
King of the Jews!"
~Mark 15: 17-18 (NKJV)
I was doing bible study again with the fam. and this scripture caught my eye because of the word purple, seeing that my favorite color is purple! I guess it made me realize how, they beat, bruised, and scarred Jesus. Afterwards placing upon Him a purple robe. It made me then think more of the color purple and what it represents. ROYALTY...and how they could have clothed Him with any other color clothing, but they chose purple.
Before God showed me this, when people would ask me why I like the color purple so much, I would say, "Because it's pretty." But now I will say, "Because it reminds me of my Savior and what He did for me. And it shows me that with me being God's child, I will one day abide in His ROYAL Heavenly Kingdom!"
